Zoning Hearing Board Meeting – City of Easton
December 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
“Hello Easton Friends,
I’m reaching out as a downtown resident of N. 4th Street (residential historic area). I’m looking to raise awareness about a new development project being proposed at 70 N 4th Street (currently a parking lot). It is being presented at the Zoning Meeting tomorrow, so there hasn’t been much time (or transparency) surrounding the project.
To be clear, I am not opposed to development in our downtown or on 4th Street however I am opposed to the current proposal (unfitting of our neighborhood and historic district guidelines), the lack of transparency and circumventing established processes for the project (parking and zoning) and negligence of consultation of all affected parties (the elementary school, the parents and students of the school, state theater patrons as well as other residents and neighboring businesses).
If you agree, please come on Monday and show your support. We’d love if everyone would voice their concerns, but if you’re not comfortable speaking your presence will speak for itself. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Vanessa Ungvarsky”
