2024 Writers’ Conference: Write to Explore

Welcome! The Moravian Writers’ Conference is celebrating its 10-year anniversary! This FREE conference features in-person and live-streamed events) and will explore:
- What is the value of writing in our society today?
- Can we use it as a tool to promote social justice and peace?
- What professions draw on storytelling skills?
- Can we use story sharing to make connections to our own histories and each other?
Conference activities on THURSDAY and FRIDAY ONLY will take place at the “Main Street” campus in the Patricia Payne Hurd Academic Complex at 348 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Conference activities on SATURDAY only are on “South Campus” at 1200 Main Street Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Parking information will be emailed closer to the conference date.
Our headliner Dr. Javier Ávila will perform The Trouble With My Name (his one-man show) in the evening on Saturday and lead a craft talk earlier that same day. The craft talk has limited space available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are available to those who preregister. (Please note that some events are first-come, first-serve due to space constraints and will close when filled.)
