Al “DJ ACT” Taylor always had a love for good music and good people having a good time. Music was not only a hobby but a true passion.
If you stopped by his house when he was a teenager, you would be stuck in the aura of him playing all the right music. His skills in music collaborations had people staying in the dining room for hours. Soon he was told to take his talents beyond his dining room.
In 2003 Taylor had his first Old School Party at a large dance hall and drew over 300 people because of his marketing and promotion skills. A niche was filled: good music, nice venue, good food and good people.
In the beginning, Taylor hired DJs to provide the music; however, people wanted to hear him. He has been the DJ at his parties ever since. And Al has been a fixture at Berks Jazz Fest since 2015.
