Crowned In Her Glory: African American Artists From Raven Editions

In celebration of Black History Month, ARTHAUS and Raven Editions present “Crowned in Her Glory: African American Artists From Raven Editions.” Please join us for a reception with Curlee Raven Holton on Thursday, February 8, 2024, 5:30-7:30 at ARTHAUS.

The exhibit, running from February 3 – March 8, 2024, is curated by Deborah Rabinsky and Curlee Raven Holton.

Artists include Faith Ringgold, Sam Gilliam, Benny Andrews, Robin Holder, David C. Driskell, Nelson Stevens, Kevin Cole, Alfred Conteh, Willie Cole, Danny Simmons, Mel Edwards, Louise Delsarte, Arvie Smith, Ify Chiejina, Mason Archie, Joseph Holston, Michael Gibson, Merci Majo and Curlee Raven Holton.

From Curlee, “Celebrating the creative process and legacy of African American artists is essential to our fuller understanding and appreciation of our cultural life as it truly exists. We are a diverse people and therefore have different and dynamic worlds that we occupy. Artists help us see those worlds more clearly. Please join us in this celebration of creativity and humanity.”
