This interactive filmmaker workshop will provide an introduction to the five fundamental aspects of sound editorial. The instructor will define and discuss the mysteries of Dialog, ADR, SFX, Foley, and Music Editing and the relationship they play at the culmination of the re-recording mix.
Filmmakers are also encouraged to share their “sound experiences” on current or past projects. They are also welcome to bring in any projects they are looking for feedback on regarding the sound quality.
Stuart Stanley is Motion Picture and Television Sound Editor. He spent 42 years as a Union Sound Editor whose credits include the full gamut of Sound Categories: Supervising Sound Editor, Dialog Editor, ADR Editor, SFX Editor, Supervising Foley Editor, and Music Editor.
