South Side Edible Walkway Community Picnic at the BGCE
June 5 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The South Side Edible Walkway corridor project connects the three existing community gardens on South Side along with Valley Health Partners to promote food, movement, and community. Come learn about this exciting project, give your thoughts, get involved, and enjoy a variety of activities, food, and music. And while the project is on South Side, all are welcome! The event is rain or shine.
The BGCE also invites new garden enthusiasts to utilize its 50 hillside planter boxes or 14 raised garden beds for planting, growing, harvesting, and enjoying fresh produce. For further information on the community garden or to volunteer for the June 5 picnic event, please contact Dean Young, Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Easton, at 484-239-2075.
The Edible Walkway corridor project is a collaborative effort amongst a variety of Easton organizations, including Blueprint Communities, the Boys and Girls Club of Easton, the Easton Area Neighborhood Center, Easton Urban Farm, Valley Health Partners, Cheston Elementary School, Family Connection, Kellyn Foundation, the City of Easton, and Blue Zones Activate Easton, along with residents of South Side.
