Teen Adventure Camp expands teens adventures beyond Pennypack
and climbing to mountain tops, kayaking along lakes, geocaching through new forests, hitting their target, soring through the tree tops, meeting new animal and human friends, and much, much more.
We are still looking into what this year’s adventures, so we welcome suggestions in the discussion thread.
All adventures will begin and end at Pennypack. Full-time staff will drive the team in City issued vans. Because of this, space for this camp is extremely limited.
Teens can join one, some, or all adventures. Registration will open at Explore_PEC.eventbrite.com Feb. 23 for returning campers, and Feb. 26 for new campers.
Ages 13-17
Prices vary per adventure, but will stay affordable. Last year’s adventures ranged from $20 to $40 for the day.
We also have a Teen Advisory Council that is during the school year for teens that are interested in environmental leadership. Those teens that demonstrate involvement, interest, and leadership often are hired for summer work through the Philadelphia Youth Network.

Parking is available at the center with additional street parking.
The center, bathrooms, and picnic areas are all accessible, however, the trails are rocky and uneven.
This is an all-weather, outdoor program. Please dress for the weather and hiking.
Photos will be taken of participants during this program for use by the Pennypack Environmental Center and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. If you wish to opt out, please let us know before the program.
