About Bachmann Publick House

Benjamin Franklin attended court sessions here during the French and Indian War. This historic landmark fell into disrepair in the 20th Century, but in the 1990s it was purchased by a non-profit historic preservation group and restored into a museum of living history. In the late 2000s, a partnership between the City, County, Lafayette College and citizen groups was created to chart its future. Today, it is home to the Lenape Nation of Pa‘s Cultural Center and Trading Post.
