About Colonel Thomas McKean Mansion
The Colonel Thomas McKean Mansion was purchased from the McKean estate by Dr. Henry Lachenour who expanded and remodeled in Victorian style. Lachenour’s daughter, Laura, married Frank Ormsby and sold the estate to the Williams Brothers in 1950s. In the 1970s it was the site of the well-known Ormsby’s Restaurant, though it has since returned to a private residence.
