Public Comment
- David Brotzman: Requested enforcement of tree trimming heights on sidewalks and better maintenance/signage on the D&L trail. Concerned for pedestrian safety.
- John Fitz (Buffalo Soldiers): Asked for an update on the N. Nesquehoning Street project and his group’s role. Council clarified project is still awaiting bids and funding; groundbreaking already occurred.
- Melody Rogers (South Side Civic): Defended her community involvement and refuted being called a nuisance. Expressed concern about communication with staff. Councilmembers responded, discussion followed.
- Ronald Johnson: Advocated for Easton to adopt a welcoming ordinance to protect undocumented immigrants from fear and deportation.
- Dominic Trabosci: Supported the welcoming ordinance and marijuana decriminalization. Distributed ordinance info sheet to council.
- Amelia Conway: Voiced support for the welcoming ordinance based on personal experience of Easton being a supportive community.
- Lenore Beers: Requested residential permit parking or restrictions on North Delaware Drive due to non-residents taking limited parking spots. Council responded positively.
