Route 22 Filmworks Film Festival

The Route 22 Filmworks Film Festival was started in 2022. It is run by a collective of filmmakers in the Lehigh Valley who first organized their Route 22 Filmworks group in 2017. The film festival, which is open to filmmakers throughout Pennsylvania and the neighboring states, focuses exclusively on local, low-to-no budget short films. The festival also includes students from high school through college. This year’s event will include some 40 films, with short films made by students from Cedar Crest High School to DeSales University. There are also several documentaries and shorts made by independent filmmakers.
