The Last Monday Supper Club — Inaugural Dinner

On Monday, August 31, Legends Cigar Bar closes to the public and hands the kitchen to Chef Barry Sexton for a one-night, four-course Creole supper.

A Philadelphia native and 35-year veteran of the industry, Chef Sexton trained for more than a decade under Master Chef Jean Pierre Tardy of Le Bec-Fin. He earned “Top Chef to Watch” at Striped Bass, helped launch Zanzibar Blue at the Philadelphia Hyatt, and has cooked for Rosa Parks, Denzel Washington, and Congressman Bill Gray. His work has appeared on Food Network’s Dinner Impossible with Robert Irvine and Gordon Ramsey’s Hotel Hell. For the past 25 years, he has run Opinionated Palate Catering.

For his inaugural Legends supper, Chef Sexton draws on his Caribbean, African, and Southern-Louisiana influences.

THE EVENING

Arrive from 5:00 PM. Bellini in hand, a cigar if you’d like, an hour to settle in. First plating hits the table at 6:15 PM. Dinner runs through the evening; the bar and humidor stay open until close.

THE ROOM

The bar and lounge are closed to the public for the evening — ticketed seating only, for members, invited guests, and Eventbrite ticket holders. Cocktails and the humidor remain available to guests throughout.
