Heritage Day marks the 250th anniversary of Easton’s public reading of the Declaration of Independence — one of three simultaneous readings on July 8, 1776, alongside Philadelphia and Trenton. The day runs from morning historical exhibitors and reenactments through an afternoon block party and full music festival. The Easton Farmers Market’s 274th birthday celebration is woven throughout: Lilly Moss & The Steel Ponies on stage at 9:30 AM, a Bachman Players parade, and the Declaration reading at 11 AM. Free, all day.

Friday

3–10 PM

Bachmann Publick House, 2nd Street, Easton

Bachmann Publick House takes it outside Friday afternoon with a block party on 2nd Street, the World Cup Quarterfinal kicking off at 3 PM alongside live music. More sets follow into the evening as part of the America 250 celebration weekend. Free, outdoor, food and drink on site.

SteelStacks, Bethlehem

One Earth ReggaeFest fills the SteelStacks campus Saturday with roots reggae, dub, and live performances across multiple stages from noon through midnight. The free screening of *The Harder They Come* runs at Frank Banko starting at noon, all-levels yoga opens the Levitt Pavilion at the same time, and Jesse Royal closes the main stage at 8:30 PM. Free admission, multi-stage, family-friendly through the afternoon.

Palmer Park Mall, Palmer Township

The Land of Curiosities Festival returns for its third year at Palmer Park Mall with dark art, taxidermy, preserved specimens, horror-inspired work, gothic apparel, and handmade oddities from vendors not typically found at a standard craft fair. A solid Saturday browse for anyone whose taste runs toward the strange. Free to attend, family-friendly.

Connexions Gallery, Easton

Connexions Gallery opens its “Scenes of Easton, 2026” community exhibition Saturday evening with artwork from local artists centered on the city itself. A good close to Heritage Day, with some downtown streets potentially still unwinding from the day’s festivities as guests arrive. Free, light refreshments served, open to all.

Louise Moore Park, 151 Country Club Rd, Easton

Northampton County Wildflower Week opens Sunday at Louise Moore Park with Penn State Extension Master Gardeners leading certified pollinator habitat tours from noon to 3 PM — including a habitat dedication ceremony at noon — while Nurture Nature Center runs iNaturalist data walks alongside it. Native plant information, kids’ activities, and Q&A with Master Gardeners on site. Free, no registration required for tours.

Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre, Orefield

Shankweiler’s Drive-In teams up with Crooked Row Farm for a mid-summer outdoor market — local farms and growers, food trucks, prepared food, and food-adjacent vendors spread across the drive-in lot. Free to attend, runs until 2 PM. About 15 miles from Easton; the drive-in setting makes for a different kind of Sunday market.
