Pride, a parade, and what’s likely to feel like the first real weekend of summer.

    2:30–8 PM

    Centre Square / Riverside Park, Easton

    Easton Pride

    A full day! Flag raising in Centre Square at 2:30, the Big Easy Easton Brass Band leads the parade at 3:15, then a riverside celebration from 4–8 PM with DJ Brad Scott and a new live music stage sponsored by the Lafayette Bar. Free throughout—the after party at the Lafayette moves to 21+ at 8 PM.

    Payrow Plaza, 10 E Church St, Bethlehem

    Bethlehem Pride Flag Raising at City Hall

    Pride Month opens at Bethlehem City Hall — speeches from community leaders, music, and the raising of the Progressive Pride Flag over Payrow Plaza. A short, civic, and free way to kick off the weekend before the bigger Sunday celebration in Easton.

    Boys & Girls Club of Easton

    South Side Edible Walkway Community Picnic

    A Friday evening picnic celebrating the South Side Edible Walkway project — a corridor connecting three community gardens on Easton’s South Side with Valley Health Partners, Easton Urban Farm, and a coalition of neighborhood organizations. Come hear about the project, give input, and enjoy food, activities, and music. Open to everyone, rain or shine. The BGCE is also inviting new gardeners to sign up for its 50 hillside planter boxes and 14 raised beds.

    Godfrey Daniels, 7 E 4th St, Bethlehem

    John Gorka at Godfrey Daniels — Friday Night

    John Gorka, one of the founding figures of the New Folk movement, opens a two-night homecoming residency at the venue where he started — he lived in Godfrey Daniels’ basement in the late 1970s while studying at Moravian College.  Tickets required; Saturday night is also available if this one sells out.

    South Side (multiple addresses), Easton

    South Side Community Yard Sale

    Households across the South Side open their front yards for one big neighborhood-wide sale — furniture, clothes, toys, home goods, and more. Participating addresses get shared on the day; bring cash and plan to wander.

    Moravian Historical Society, 214 E Center St, Nazareth

    48th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival

    More than 70 local artisans spread across the lawn of the historic Whitefield House (built 1740–1743), with original artwork, woodworking, jewelry, handmade soaps, candles, and fiber arts alongside live music, kids activities, and food and drinks. One of the Lehigh Valley’s longest-running outdoor arts festivals. Free admission.

    Easton Area Public Library

    Making Science Connections: Living Light — Bioluminescence

    How do organisms create light? The Making Science Connections series tackles bioluminescence — covering the many species of fireflies in the northeast and what we can do to protect them. Free, open to adults and families, and well-timed for early June when fireflies are just starting to show up at dusk. Registration required.

    Downtown Easton

    Easton-Eats Downtown Food Tour

    The first-ever public food tour from Easton-Eats — a guided walk through local food establishments with bites and stories at each stop, kept small and intentional. If you’ve been meaning to eat your way through downtown in a more organized way than usual, this is that. $75 per person; spots are limited.

    Easton Public Market

    Sunday Vinyl with The Nite Liters

    The Nite Liters — a DJ collective spinning funk, jazz, rock, and soul on vinyl — take over the Public Market for a Sunday afternoon set. A low-key way to ease into the day before the Pride celebrations pick up later. Free.
