LAINI’S LIST
May 1–3, 2026
9 Things to Do this Weekend
May arrives. Let the warm season celebrating begin — with or without the warm part.
1
Saturday
9 AM
Scott Park, Easton
Opening Day at the Easton Farmers Market
The 274th season of America’s oldest continuously operating open-air market opens at Scott Park with 50+ vendors, a food influencer panel at 9:30, remarks from Vice Mayor Pintabone, and two live music stages. Worth showing up before 10 — the bread vendors do not wait for you. Free, rain or shine; EBT accepted and matched up to $10.
2
Saturday
10 AM–4 PM
Nevin Park, Easton (check-in)
43rd Historic Easton House Tour
A self-guided tour of some of Easton’s most notable private properties — architecture buffs, history nerds, and anyone who’s ever wondered what’s behind those doors will find plenty to love. The 43rd annual edition includes original art and the kinds of interiors you’d otherwise never see. $30 in advance, $35 day-of; tickets must be printed.
3
Saturday
2 PM (after-party at 8 PM)
Downtown Easton (multiple bars)
Crawl de Mayo Pub Crawl
Easton’s annual Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl sweeps through 10+ downtown bars with drink specials, a game card for prize drawings, and live music at Rivals starting at 3 PM — with Naked Jake and DJ Dan running the after-party at 8. The kind of day that takes over the whole downtown. Hopefully, only in a good way.
4
Friday
7:30 PM
State Theatre, Easton
Funny Women of a Certain Age
Carole Montgomery’s touring showcase brings together fierce, unapologetic women comics over 50 — veterans with three Showtime specials between them and the kind of material that lands harder the more life you’ve lived.
5
Saturday
9 AM
Vera Cafe, Easton
Vera Cafe of Easton — Grand Opening
Vera Cafe has been quietly serving excellent Turkish coffee since January, and this Saturday they’re making it official. If you haven’t found your new third space yet, this is a good excuse to go looking. Drop in to celebrate the opening.
6
Saturday
12–3:30 PM
Wanderlust Beer Garden
GruviTune at Wanderlust
Live R&B, soul, funk, and blues from GruviTune — the genuine article, not the cover-band version. An afternoon set at the beer garden, with good weather on the way. A solid way to celebrate the beginning of the warm season.
7
Saturday
4–8 PM
Hangdog Brewing Co., Easton
Run for the Roses — Kentucky Derby Party
Derby Day at Hangdog means mint juleps, big hats, a $100 best hat contest, and live sets from The Funk Rockers. Watch the race, dress the part, and stay for the music. No cover charge; 21+.
8
Saturday & Sunday
Franklin Hill Vineyards, Bangor
Pickle Palooza with Pocono Pickle Guy
The Pocono Pickle Guy sets up at a local vineyard for two days of brined goods, live music Saturday, and the Island Noodles food truck on site. Niche? Yes. Worth the 20-minute drive if you have a pickle person in your life? Also yes.
9
Friday & Saturday
Fri 10 AM – Sat 7 PM
Allentown Fairgrounds Agri-plex
Pinfest Pinball Show
One of the country’s biggest pinball and arcade collector events takes over the Allentown Fairgrounds for two days — hundreds of machines, celebrity guests, and dealers in vintage toys, cards, and collectibles. Whether you’re a serious collector or just nostalgic for the arcade, it’s a genuinely fun rabbit hole. About 30 minutes from Easton.
