Three days of gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and baklava at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with youth performances at 6 PM Friday and Saturday and 1 PM Sunday. The food is the real thing.

Historic Downtown Bethlehem
Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival
Pipe bands, Highland athletics, and five stages of Celtic music fill Historic Downtown Bethlehem for three days, and admission is free. On Friday, catch the Haggis Bowl: one pound of haggis, no condiments, beverages permitted.

Hot Pepper Showdown
Now in its 17th year, this Easton Farmers’ Market tradition takes contestants on a slow-burn journey from jalapeño to genuine suffering, with audience trivia and prizes woven in. All peppers are locally grown by Easton Garden Works grower Mark Reid. Preregistration is recommended for competitors, and the event is free.

Clarine Boyer & Frances Ketchen Memorial Park Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The City of Easton dedicates the newly renovated Nesquehoning Street Park in memory of Clarine Boyer and Frances Ketchen. The ceremony runs about half an hour, and it’s a meaningful one for anyone who knew them.

The Wurst Fest Ever — Easton Oktoberfest
Porters’ Pub, 3rd & Ferry, and Vault Brewing team up for the first annual Easton Oktoberfest on Ferry Street, with craft brews, Oktoberfest food specials, and live music. The collaboration is half the appeal. Free.

First Flag Over the United Colonies Band Festival
Area marching bands take the field at Cottingham Stadium for this annual friendly competition, presented by the Easton Area High School Instrumental Music Association. The name honors the flag flown in Centre Square at Easton’s 1776 public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Much Ado About Nothing — Actors From The London Stage
Five actors with minimal props, each taking on multiple roles — Actors From The London Stage bring their stripped-down approach to one of Shakespeare’s sharpest comedies, leaning into Beatrice and Benedick’s verbal sparring. Free for Lafayette students, $6 for other students, $33 general.

The 8th College Hill Porchfest
Sixty performances across 35 porches, parks, and yards in College Hill: jazz, folk, classical, rock, a drum circle, a ukulele ensemble, and a flute choir, in rolling 45-minute sets. Bring a blanket and wander. The grand finale is a 5 PM Second Line brass parade through the neighborhood, led by Big Easy Easton Brass. Rain date: Oct. 4.

11th Annual Monocacy Farm Fall Festival
A laid-back community day at the Monocacy Farm Project in Bethlehem, with local food and craft vendors, live music, farm tours, crafts, and activities. Proceeds support a farm that grows fresh produce for Lehigh Valley shelters and food pantries. Free admission and parking.
