Fairview Park, Palmer Twp

Palmer Township’s annual community festival runs through Sunday at Fairview Park with rides, midway games, six live bands, Touch-A-Truck, animal encounters, a hot air balloon display, and K-9 demonstrations. Every food booth is run by a local nonprofit — school booster clubs, church groups, fire companies, and civic orgs — so the eating is also the fundraising. Saturday night fireworks close out the day; the Palmer 5K runs Saturday morning at 9 AM in the same park. Free admission.

Scott Park, Easton

The Easton Farmers’ Market’s annual tomato celebration brings peak-season varieties from vendors, farm-fresh tastings with a “mindful eating session,” and PA Master Gardeners on site for questions. James Supra Band plays the main stage 10:30 AM–12:30 PM. Go early before the good ones are gone.

Belleville Market, Downtown Easton

Belleville Market marks Italy’s late-August national holiday with olive oil and limoncello tastings, Italian-inspired bites from Taste of Belleville, and live music on the terrace. Brand showcases include Smeg, Bialetti, and Marvis alongside merchant activations throughout the building. Free admission.

Nevin Park, Easton

Bethlehem guitarist Mike Lorenz brings his trio to Nevin Park for a free Saturday evening set with longtime collaborators. His June 2026 recording I’m Not There is the group’s most recent work. Lorenz has spent more than a decade playing festivals and clubs up and down the Northeast Corridor. Free.

Karl Stirner Arts Trail, Easton

Two separate free events at two different spots on the trail Saturday evening. At 6 PM, Nurture Nature Center leads a creek walk at the Blue Bridge — macroinvertebrates identified in Bushkill Creek’s streambed as indicators of water quality, sightings logged in iNaturalist for real biodiversity data. Walk runs through 7 PM. There’s a 90-minute gap before the next event: at 8:30 PM, Movie Hill (near the dog park) screens Faces Places — Agnès Varda and JR’s 2017 documentary about their road trip through rural France, photographing strangers and pasting their portraits large-scale onto buildings. Cannes Best Documentary winner, Oscar nominated. Bring a blanket or chair for the film.

Lafayette Bar, Downtown Easton

Easton’s long-running dark dance night marks eight years with live sets from Blood Handsome (LA, retro synths and post-punk atmosphere) and Komrads (Rochester, industrial/darkwave), plus resident DJ Brad Scott and The Unholy Bodies go-go dancers running synthwave, EBM, and techno through the early hours. $15, 21+, non-smoking.

Singer/songwriter Maria Woodford plays Porters’ Pub Saturday night with guitarist Jon Fadem — of the bands Start Making Sense and Life After Dead, and a six-consecutive-year LVMA Best Guitarist nominee. Woodford’s music draws on blues, folk, and jazz.

Moravian Historical Society, Nazareth

The Moravian Historical Society’s Free Summer Sunday series continues with participants sewing their own colonial-style pocket or haversack using Revolutionary War-era techniques on the museum lawn. Free museum admission included, activity runs 1–3:30 PM. Good for families with kids six and older; younger kids may need a hand.

Book & Puppet Co, Downtown Easton

Book & Puppet Co.’s monthly storytelling series turns to the Easton Farmers’ Market this month, with community members sharing firsthand accounts of the market’s revival and its nearly 275-year history as a gathering place. Local oral history told by the people who were there. This is my idea of an enjoyable Sunday afternoon.
