So my wife and I, spent New Years Eve at the Hotel Bethlehem. It was an exceptional evening which included a Masquerade party.
First, we took a horse carriage ride late afternoon. It was so nice just to set the tone; (makes me wonder if Hotel Bethlehem could partner up and offer the carriage ride weather permitting.) Then, our bedroom was just so lovely. The historic charm and modern luxury makes it understandable why H.B. is ranked so highly.
But there is more. To see the first floor area during the holidays …. it is just impeccable. The Masquerade event created the opportunity to really dress up and the masks added just an elegant twist to the evening. Of course, the food and service were great.
I want to point out one thing that just made the evening: H.B. had two bands: one for the Masquerade party and one for a younger, “general audience ” on the first floor. That was brilliant. We started with the Motown vibe band on the second floor but rocked out the New Years Eve on the first floor with the “younger crowd.” That just sealed the entire evening as “just perfect ” Thank you Hotel Bethlehem. Our first experience won’t be our last.

Thank you Hotel Bethlehem for a wonderful 45th anniversary stay. We spent our wedding night in your honeymoon suite and now 45 years later came back. The room was perfect as it faced the Bethlehem Star. We were on a high level so we had a panoramic view. We even lightly heard the trombone choir playing in the Moravian Church’s bell tower through the window. We arrived to our room to find a special treat you left us in honor of the occasion. We had meals in the tap room and enjoyed talking with Santa and Mrs. Claus who meandered through the area. It was quiet for sleeping, a comfortable bed and lovely marble bath. If I could make a suggestion would be to put a counter or table behind the bathroom door for more space for toiletries. So many of the staff wished us a happy anniversary. There was a wedding on Saturday when we arrived. We rode the elevator up with them and marveled at the coincidence of being in the same place 45 years apart. It was hard to chose a remembrance of the occasion from the gift shop as there were so many unique items. We could have gone anywhere for our 45th anniversary but in retrospect, this was the perfect choice.

This is utterly a perfect experience for a couple
for a weekend/(or really anytime) get-away. When including the shuttle bus ride to the historic steel mill shopping area which is $7 to get in, you won’t forget it. Acres of indoor . . you name it – cheese shops, winnerys, distilleries, huge indoor tent and outdoor food venders, outdoor seating areas, dome eating areas. Downtown Bethlehem is quite a downtown. Horse drawn wagon for a tour of the historic area. The stores and restaurants are very diverse and offer much (pastery shop). You’ll love it all. Budget minded folks have choices of where you can stay. Historic Bethlehem Hotel for our stay was $427/night and we were on the 6th floor. There are two lounges and the restaurant on the first floor. Ball rooms on 1st and 2nd floors. There are several festivals through out the year. If you want to propose to someone, this might be the place to do it. The whole experience was 5 stars easily.

Beautiful historic hotel, elegantly decorated for Christmas! We stayed overnight during a quick trip for Bethlehem’s holiday festivities, and from the moment Bellman Barry greeted us, we felt welcome. The staff was wonderful throughout our stay. It was a busy weekend with several weddings, but the lively lobby and lounges only added to the festive atmosphere. Our premium room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. Perfect location—easy and safe walking to many of Bethlehem’s historic sites. Highly recommend treating yourself to a stay here!
